Charlie Agnew

Charlie Agnew graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2005, with a BS in Finance and minor in Italian. After college he embarked on a two year sailing career doing educational programs aboard youth sail training ships from New England waters, to the Keys, Caribbean, and Pacific Coasts. In 2007 he grounded with Biomass Commodities doing financial projections for evaluating potential wood heating projects. Over the past two years, Charlie has developed specific interest in the technical aspects of wood combustion technology through practical experience.

Charlie currently manages the technical aspects of BCC’s biomass boiler design, installation, startup, and system service. His knowledge base covers wood fuel characteristics, combustion chemistry, combustion technology and equipment, and boiler controls.

Charlie continues to sail in his free time as Captain of a privately owned sailboat. Working with his father, a registered forester by trade, Charlie also manages and harvests family woodlots in Maine and New Hampshire.
